Dr. Domenick J. Maglio has been a psychologist for over 40 years. He is the founder and director of Wider H
orizons School, a private K-12 college preparatory school since 1983. His professional career began as a counselor at Wiltwyck School for Disturbed Boys. His professional career included school psychologist, university professor and department head in psychology and education for a decade. He was a clinical psychologist in a Florida State counseling program, was the director of the Open door for Mental Health Program, staff psychologist at the Eckerd foundation as well as serving on the Board of Directors of the National Independent Private School Association.
Dr. Maglio holds B.A. degree in Political Science from SUNY at New Paltz, an M.A. degree from the University of Connecticut in Child Development Family Relations and an interdisciplinary PhD. in Human Development and Counseling from Union Institute and University.
For the past decade Dr. Maglio has written weekly articles for newspapers and Internet blogs throughout the nation. He is the author of Invasion Within: Overcoming the Elitist Attack on the Moral Values and the American Way and Essential Parenting.
